These terms establish a respectful, safe, and confidential framework for everyone participating in Let's Talk circles, volunteering, or utilizing our digital platform.
The Community Pact
By entering a Let's Talk circle or using our platform, you agree to uphold unconditional empathy, complete confidentiality, zero judgment, and constructive peer support.
1. Acceptance & Eligibility
By registering for an account, reserving a session pass, volunteering, or browsing lets-talk.ng, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
Participants must be at least 16 years of age to register independently. Minors under 16 may attend dedicated youth circles only with express parental or guardian consent.
2. Nature of Peer Support Services
Let's Talk provides community-based round-table peer support, group discussions, and psychoeducation workshops in Katsina State, Nigeria.
3. Participant Code of Conduct
To maintain physical and psychological safety for all attendees, you agree to adhere strictly to the following standards:
- Empathy & Non-Judgment: Listen actively, respect cultural and personal differences, and refrain from unsolicited diagnosis or condemnation.
- Zero Tolerance for Harassment: Bullying, discriminatory speech, hate speech, sexual harassment, or verbal aggression will result in immediate permanent expulsion.
- Substance-Free Venues: Consumption or possession of alcohol, illicit drugs, or weapons at session venues is strictly forbidden.
4. Absolute Prohibition on Recording & Photography
No photographic, video, or audio recording devices of any kind may be operated during round-table discussions. Capturing images, recording voices, or broadcasting discussions on social media without written authorization is a critical violation of our charter and will result in expulsion and potential legal action under privacy laws.
5. Session Reservations & Check-in QR Passes
Session seating is limited to preserve intimate, safe group sizes. When registering:
- Your QR pass is non-transferable and assigned specifically to you.
- Guest registration passes automatically expire at the end of the registered session.
- If you cannot attend, please cancel your reservation promptly so your seat can be offered to community members on the waitlist.
6. Volunteers & Strategic Partners
Volunteer facilitators and organizational partners represent Let's Talk values and must complete background verification and training modules. We reserve the right to approve, review, or terminate volunteer or partnership status at our sole discretion to maintain community safety.
7. Clinical & Medical Disclaimer
Let's Talk is not a substitute for professional medical, psychiatric, or clinical psychological care. If you or someone you know is experiencing acute suicidal ideation, psychosis, or severe self-harm urges, please contact emergency health facilities or psychiatric centers immediately.
8. Intellectual Property Rights
All workshop toolkits, facilitation guides, logos, website software, and educational materials produced by Let's Talk are the intellectual property of Let's Talk and its organizers. Unauthorized reproduction or commercial redistribution is prohibited.
9. Limitation of Liability
Participation in Let's Talk sessions is entirely voluntary. To the maximum extent permitted under the laws of Nigeria, Let's Talk, its trustees, volunteers, and partners shall not be held liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from peer discussions or decisions made by attendees outside the circle.
10. Governing Law & Inquiries
These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the Laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Katsina State, Nigeria.
